Hi Traci,
I have access to the online version and by searching “Seattle Art Museum” I found this caption:
“plate cv. Reżā ʿAbbāsī, “Bird and scene of lovers with an attendant,” 1629-35, colors and gold on paper, 34.5 x 22.2 cm. The Seattle Art Museum, Seattle, Wash., no. 50.111, Gift of Mrs. Donald E. Frederick.
Photograph Paul Macapia.”
Listed together with other figures and plates at the end of this article: “CLOTHING xxviii. Concordance of clothing terms among ethnic groups in modern Persia”

After doing some digging around on their “C~ CAPTIONS OF ILLUSTRATIONS: list of all the figure and plate images in the letter C entries (Cross-Reference)”
I found that this illustration is associated with this chapter:
“CLOTHING x. In the Safavid and Qajar periods”

And sure enough, if you click on the “images” link, there it is, in black and white, with this caption: “Plate CV. Reżā ʿAbbāsi. "Bird and scene of lovers with an attendant," 1629-35, colors and gold on paper,

Thanks for giving me an excuse to explore this resource and especially to try to track down their illustrations. Not exactly a straight-forward process!
Best wishes,

Subject: [ARLIS-L] Encyclopædia Iranica - museum object reference
Dear ARLISians,
I’m assisting our curatorial team with shoring up some object file documentation. We are trying to determine if an object in the Seattle Art Museum’s collection is illustrated in a volume of the
Encyclopædia Iranica. The full citation is: Yar-Shater, Ehsan. Encyclopædia Iranica. London: Routledge & Kegan Paul, 1985-. If your institution owns this work, would you assist me?
The object in question is a Persian miniature: “Miniature of a Bird and Scene of Lovers with an Attendant” (1629-1635), Riza Abbasi (Persian, died 1635)*. Our only clue is that someone completed a rights and reproduction form for its use
in 1992 . That leads us to believe it could be published in Volume 5 (Carpets – Coffee , 1992) or Volume 6 (Coffeehouse –
Dara, 1993). We don’t know the entry, unfortunately.
If you own this set and are able to assist me, I would greatly appreciate confirmation of volume, with page number, plate number, etc. A scan with the title page would be even more appreciated. Thank you in advance!
Best,
Traci
