Hi, all
With apologies for the late-breakingness of this addition to the
program... Please join us for an Art
Librarians Cryptoparty at ARLIS/NA ππ¨πππ
In a nutshell:
Join your colleagues to learn, teach, share, and compare tools and best practices for protecting your and your patronsβ digital privacy. Art librarians serve a diverse spectrum of stakeholders at risk of surveillance, hacking, and other forms of digital exploitation. Bring your ideas and concerns to this open discussion and sharing of resources; take home tools, policies, and guidelines that foster learning.
Where & when: Norwich Room, Tuesday, February 7, 5-6PM.
There is absolutely no technical knowledge or background required
to participate, rather we'd love to help beginners to identify
their and their patrons' needs in order to bring ideas and
resources back to the folks who can effect them at their home
institutions. Jennifer Ferretti, Digital Initiatives Librarian at
MICA, and I will stir the pot and share some
tips/tricks/resources, but the agenda is very much up to you --
hope to see you there!
Cheers,
Karl
