Hello All, As you begin to plan your trip to New Orleans, please consider volunteering some of your time. The success of our annual conference relies on help from ARLIS/NA members, students, and conference attendees who shepherd tours, sit at the hospitality desk, and greet their fellow conference-goers at special events. Volunteering is a great opportunities to meet meet, mingle, and contribute to our organization. Positions needed are listed below: Registration/Hospitality Desk: Volunteers needed to organize materials, stuff bags, etc. before the conference on Saturday, February 4th, and to work minimum 3-hour shifts on the Desk for mornings, afternoons and evenings, from 8am Sunday, February 5 to 11am Thursday, February 9, 2017. Exhibit Hall Ambassadors: Volunteers needed to work minimum 2-hour shifts to assist exhibitors with setup/break down; provide relief for solo exhibitors; provide welcoming environment for exhibitors and assist with answering questions or relaying questions to exhibit coordinators. Silent Auction: Help with our fundraising event by assisting with set-up, auction monitoring and take-down. Tour Shepherd: The tour shepherd will meet and organize the group at the start of the tour, accompany the group throughout the tour, and be the liaison with the venue/attraction.
