Hello All, Just a friendly reminder that we still need volunteers for the 2017 ARLIS/NA annual conference in New Orleans. The success of the conference relies on help from members, students, and attendees to shepherd tours, sit at the hospitality desk, and greet their fellow conference-goers at special events. Please consider offering some of your time; it's a great way to meet people and contribute to our organization. Positions needed are listed below: Registration/Hospitality Desk: Volunteers needed to organize materials, stuff bags, etc. before the conference on Saturday, February 4th, and to work minimum 3-hour shifts on the Desk for mornings, afternoons and evenings, from 8am Sunday, February 5 to 11am Thursday, February 9, 2017. Exhibit Hall Ambassadors: Volunteers needed to work minimum 2-hour shifts to assist exhibitors with setup/break down; provide relief for solo exhibitors; provide welcoming environment for exhibitors and assist with answering questions or relaying questions to exhibit coordinators. Silent Auction: Help with our fundraising event by assisting with set-up, auction monitoring and take-down. Tour Shepherd: The tour shepherd will meet and organize the group at the start of the tour, accompany the group throughout the tour, and be the liaison with the venue/attraction.
