The Abbott-Guggenheim Library is a collection of 1,900 volumes assembled over 60 years. The Abbott-Guggenheim Collection was one of the most important collections of Sculpture and Works of Art and Clocks assembled in the US in the 20th century. The Collection was sold at Christie's, New York in January 2015 for a record-breaking $12,000,000. The focus is primarily European Sculpture and Works and Art and European clocks. The Abbott-Guggenheim Library - which was a critical component in the collection - is, without a doubt, both the most impressive and comprehensive private library of its kind in North America. The books date from the late 18th until the late 20th century and are in multiple languages. We are looking for an appropriate museum or university library to accept the Abbott-Guggenheim Library as a donation. An Excel spreadsheet - which includes the title, author, publication place and date as well as an image of the cover -- is available upon request. The Library must be accepted in full. Interested parties please contact William Russell - [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.

Thanks and best,
Val
