This is a full time position with an expe3cted start date of December 2016.

 

The Delaware College of Art & Design is seeking a Library Director. Responsibilities include; maintaining and growing the College’s collection as well as planning and directing all information literacy initiatives, library policies, and operations. The Library Director works collaboratively with administrative directors.

 

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in library or information science; an undergraduate degree in art or design is highly desirable. A minimum of three years of academic library experience is required, along with a strong background in art reference, technical services processing, collection development, and information technology. The ideal candidate will have experience developing innovative programs to respond to student and faculty needs, experience designing and presenting a curriculum of Information Literacy courses, demonstrated organizational skills, excellent customer service skills, the ability to work independently and in groups, ability to plan and implement new initiatives, and a strong commitment to the value of an arts education.
