A reminder that the deadline for the Samuel H. Kress Foundation Travel Award deadline

The Samuel H. Kress Foundation International Travel Awards program of ARLIS/NA supports bringing art information professionals together at conferences, thereby fostering communication and developing connections with international projects.
Several exceptional professionals will each receive awards of $1,000-$2,500 (depending on venue) to attend an overseas conference in North America or in Europe. The number and amount of awards will be determined by a review panel consisting of appointed members
of ARLIS/NA, taking into consideration levels of need, participation, and travel costs, as well as the overall number of applicants.
There are two categories of awards:
1)
For European librarians and art information professionals to attend the annual conference of the Art Libraries Society of North America (ARLIS/NA) in New Orleans, La., February 5-9, 2017
2)
For ARLIS/NA members to attend the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) General Conference in Wroc³aw, Poland, August 19-25, 2017,
OR another European art library conference
In order to accommodate the two categories of awards and to allow for travel throughout the year, applications for 2017 will be accepted in two rounds:
Round 1) For travel by Europeans to the 45th ARLIS/NA annual conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, February 5-9, 2017, OR travel by ARLIS/NA members to meetings in Europe before May 1, 2017.
Deadline for Round 1: applications must be received via email no later than
November 21, 2016.
Notification for Round 1 awards will be by December 16, 2016.
Round 2) For ARLIS/NA Members to attend the IFLA Conference or other meetings in Europe between May 1 and December 31, 2017.
Deadline for Round 2: applications must be received via email no later than
February 28, 2017.
Notification for Round 2 awards will be by March 31, 2017.
