Dear Andi, I highly recommend these two books written by RISD faculty. Mapping the Intelligence of Artistic Work: An Explorative Guide to Making, Thinking, and Writing <http://risdworks.com/ePOS?form=shared3/gm/merch.html&item_number=E2800983472508&cat=43&store=359&design=359> is filled with writing exercises for artists at all stages of articulating their work. Social Medium: Artists Writing, 2000-2015 <http://shop.nplusonemag.com/collections/paper-monument/products/social-medium-artists-writing-2000-2015> is a recently published survey of an array of artists' writings.
