The ARLIS Fair Use Instruction Task Force is seeking frequently asked questions about image copyright, fair use, fair dealing, and the Code of Best Practices in Fair Use for the Visual Arts. A reminder that these can be your questions or reference questions that you receive.

We’re looking for both questions you have about the code and fair use, but also reference questions you get about image copyright and fair use. No question is too small or obvious. The final set of FAQ’s will receive answers from the Center for Media and Social Impact, made possible by the College Art Association. The questions will be collated and anonymized, and the questions and answers will be posted on the ARLIS & VRA websites. The FAQ will help clarify librarian image copyright confusion and serve as a resource for answering reference questions and creating lesson plans.
