Yes, indeed, kudos all around. I especially enjoyed the size and focus of the satellite meeting, which allowed me to not only get to know some new folks, but to cement those relationships with numerous interactions as we all paid particular attention to facilities planning and programming issues. One of the best professional activities I've engaged in recently. Many thanks to the IFLA satellite team.

FYI, if anyone is interested in the building and program planning paper that was at the core of my presentation, I will gladly share it. And I'm hoping that the PowerPoints might be made available at some point.

Cheers all,

Peter Blank

Indeed, I’d like to echo Julie’s sentiments. It was a dynamic and engaging program in a fantastic city, hosted by very gracious and accommodating librarians. Many thanks to Viveca, Doug, Sandy, and the rest of the team for pulling it all together!

Congratulations to the program co-chairs Viveca Pattison Robichaud, University of Notre Dame and Doug Litts, Art Institute of Chicago, along with Sandra Ludig Brooke, Chair, IFLA Art Libraries Section Standing Committee, Princeton University, for the very successful IFLA Art Libraries Section Satellite Meeting recently concluded at the Art Institute of Chicago. “The Art Library as Place: Building on the Past, Building for the Future” was a resounding success thanks to the work of dozens of ARLIS members and volunteers. A few pictures from the banquet are posted here: https://www.pinterest.com/g3447/ifla-art-section-banquet/. If anyone has additional images, please feel free to add them.
