I am looking for advice/information about grants for establishing an institutional archive. Our museum does not have an archivist, and I am the sole (part-time) librarian. The grants I have found through some quick searches are mostly for establishing archives for historical collections. Our collections staff takes care of that aspect, but I am looking to document the museum's history. I'd like to find a grant that covers materials like acid-free boxes, folders etc. and also creating a finding aid. I have inquired about having an expert come and do an assessment, but I'm not sure we can afford her services. Perhaps a grant would cover this up-front expense as well?

Thanks,
