I’m pleased to announce that Lareese Hall has been appointed the new Dean of Libraries at RISD. Active in ARLIS, Lareese is currently Architecture + Art Librarian at MIT where she has been since 2014. Prior to joining MIT she held the position of Arts + Architecture Librarian/Assistant Professor at J. Murrey Atkins Library at the University of North Carolina, and before that she was the Fine Arts Librarian at Denison University Libraries.
In addition to overseeing the Fleet Library at RISD, Lareese will provide leadership for the Edna Lawrence Nature Lab, the Writing Center and Campus Exhibitions. She will be starting here on August 22.
