The Art Gallery of Ontario announces the appointment of Amy Furness to the position of Rosamond Ivey Special Collections Archivist and Head, Library & Archives effective Monday, July 4, 2016. In her new role, Amy will lead and manage the activities of the E.P. Taylor Research Library and Archives. In support of the AGO's strategic priorities, she will oversee all aspects of the department's work, including access for the public, staff, and volunteers; information delivery; and collections development, care, display, and access. As Archivist, Amy will continue to actively steward the Special Collections program and collections. Amy joined the AGO in 2000 and has held the position of Rosamond Ivey Special Collections Archivist since 2001. She earned her MSt in History of Art from Oxford University, and MISt and PhD degrees from the iSchool, University of Toronto.
