Special Announcement: Keynote by Design With Company
The keynote address (Tuesday afternoon, August 9) will be delivered by
Design With Company founders, Stewart Hicks & Allison Newmeyer. They describe their work as exploring the territory between the architectural and the literary, real and unreal, mundane and fantastic. They like buildings that "have a story; that look like they might get up and start walking around." Come hear what they have to say!
The Art Libraries Section of IFLA, in collaboration with the University of Notre Dame and the Midstates and Ohio Valley Chapters of ARLIS/NA, has organized a three-day conference in Chicago that focuses on modern and historic art library facilities. The Art Library as Place: Building on the Past, Building for the Future will consist of papers, panel discussions, site visits to local art museums and libraries, and tours of Chicago area architecture.
The conference will be held August 9-11 at the Art Institute of Chicago. Visit the
conference website to learn more and to register.
We look forward to seeing you in Chicago!
Sponsors for the conference include the Art Institute of Chicago, the Hesburgh Libraries of Notre Dame, ARLIS/NA, ARLIS/NA Midstates Chapter, and the ARLIS/NA Ohio Valley Chapter.
