Instructors:
Jennifer Kim, Conservator at the Autry Museum of the American West
Erin Jue, Assistant Conservator at LACMA

Jennifer Kim and Erin Jue will present a practical workshop on how to prepare for an exhibition with an emphasis on preservation issues. A lecture will be followed by a practicum that will allow students to make their own book mounts.

Jennifer Kim is currently a Conservator at the Autry Museum of the American West, a medium-sized institution with a heavy exhibition schedule. Erin Jue is an Assistant Paper Conservator at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, a large institution with constantly rotating large and small exhibition spaces. Before working at their current positions, both Erin and Jennifer worked with archival collections at the Huntington Library and the Margaret Herrick Library, AMPAS, respectively.

Who should attend:
Designed for a wide array of backgrounds, the workshop will be geared towards individuals who are interested in learning the practical side of putting up an exhibition, including scheduling, assembling a checklist, and prepping artwork.

Please bring a pocket-size book and one small paper item (such as a postcard) to use in class.

Parking/Directions: Brand Library & Art Center<https://goo.gl/maps/v33xs> is located in northwest Glendale, easily accessed via the Golden State (5) or Ventura (134) freeways.
