Subject: Your packing list for the AASL 2016 conference
To: [log in to unmask]

The 2016 AASL Conference Planning Committee is looking forward to welcoming
you to Seattle! As you prepare for your trip, here are *some things to
consider packing*:

· *Comfortable walking shoes.* We have a variety of fantastic tours
planned! You may also want to explore Seattle on your own, in which case
you’ll want to bookmark the guides and maps on the AASL 2016 Conference
website:  https://aasl2016.wordpress.com/seattle-sights-bibliography/.

· *An umbrella and a raincoat.* It *is* Seattle, and it *is* spring.

· *A printout of the full AASL Conference program.* You’ll receive
a printed schedule in your conference packet, but if you’d like a printout
of the full program with session descriptions and all the details
<https://aasl2016.files.wordpress.com/2016/03/aasl_program_20160302.pdf>
please plan to print one and bring it with. Or, access the full program
during the conference via your mobile device on the conference website
<https://aasl2016.wordpress.com/program/>.

· *$3.00 for your fare from the airport to The Westin Seattle
via **SoundTransit’s
Link Light Rail* <http://www.soundtransit.org/Schedules/Link-light-rail>*. *The
Westlake Center will be your stop and it is directly across from the
Westin. Looking for more travel options? See the Sea-Tac Airport’s Ground
Transportation page
<http://www.portseattle.org/Sea-Tac/Parking-and-Transportation/Ground-Transportation/Pages/default.aspx>
and plan your route to The Westin Seattle at 1900 5th Ave.

· *A watch to set for Daylight Savings Time.* We spring forward on
Sunday, March 13, and you’ll want to make note of that if you are trying to
catch a flight or join the Seattle Center Tour on Sunday.

· *Your ideas for the future of AASL*. The Strategic Planning
session on Saturday promises to be a lively exercise. Come be part of the
conversation!

Once you arrive at the conference hotel, stop by the Registration and
Hospitality Desk for the ARLIS/NA + VRA Joint Conference and pick up your
AASL 2016 Conference packet. *You’ll find the registration desk in The
Westin Seattle in Grand Foyer 1 and the AASL 2016 Conference packets will
be available Wednesday 7am-5:30pm through Saturday 7am-12pm.*

Wondering what else to pack? Questions about the schedule or sessions? Feel
free to get in touch and I will answer or direct your questions. Otherwise,
see you in Seattle!
