The Studio Residency Grant

The Studio Residency Grant is a six- to eight-week residency in any of our studio disciplines. Funded by the NEA, this grant provides: a stipend of $350/week, up to $500 for materials, up to $250 for travel within the U.S., on-campus housing, and 24/7 studio access.

Summer & Fall Internships

Deadline: February15th
Studio Internship

This internship is a six-month opportunity for college grads with a background in studio arts. Interns work with WSW's Studio Manager to keep our printmaking, papermaking, letterpress, and silkscreen studios in top shape.
Non-Profit Management Internship

This six-month internship is perfect for college grads who are interested in visual arts and want to learn about the daily operations of a non-profit arts organization. Interns work on marketing, event planning, donor management, and more!
Summer Internship

This summer internship runs through July and August along with WSW's Summer Art Institute. This intern divides her time between planning and executing daily lunches for SAI students and working on ArtFarm.

Interns receive a private room in WSW’s on-campus Anne Atwood House and a stipend of $300/month. Interns work 40 hours/week, generally Monday through Friday, 9:00-5:00, but the schedule may change to accommodate the Workshop’s programming. Outside work hours, and with respect to residents’ work, interns have unlimited studio access. The internship session can culminate in a group exhibition of work created during the term.

Workspace Residencies

Deadline: April 1st
Art-in-Education Workspace Residency

A five-week opportunity for artists with teaching experience; knowledge of intaglio, silkscreen, or hand papermaking; and an interest in creating their own work while also working with local school students.
Studio Workspace Residency

A four- to six- week residency for artists who want to
work in any of WSW's studio disciplines, including printmaking, papermaking, screenprinting, letterpress, photography, or ceramics.
Chili Bowl Workspace Residency

A four- to six-week opportunity for ceramicists who want to craft bowls for our annual Chili Bowl Fiesta. Artists must produce either 50 glazed or 100 bisqued bowls, and may also work on their own projects while in residence.
 
All residencies include free on-campus housing and 24/7 studio access.
