Error during command authentication.

Dear ARLIS and VRA members,

 

Due to high demand at the Seattle Westin, we have negotiated with the hotel to add more room nights to our current contract. The new room rate offered by the hotel is $239, an increase of $28 per night from our previous $211 price. We understand that the price may be burdensome for many, and we are sorry about the added costs. The new room block should be available to registrants today,  Weds (1/13).  There are a limited number of added rooms, so please do not hesitate to make reservations. If you have any problems with the hotel registration, please let me know directly.

 

We have been told that the new room block consists of deluxe rooms, with better waterfront views. Additionally, the $239 figure, while pricey, is still below market rate for conference hotels in the city during this time period. The Westin has indicated that there is very high demand for Seattle hotel rooms at this time, as another large conference is draining room availability around the city. These rooms are the last available at the Westin.

 

If you haven't already made accommodation arrangements, please consider registering as soon as possible at the Westin. Meeting our annual conferences' hotel attendance minimums helps to bolster the financial foundations of our two organizations. Because we have increased the number of rooms available, the hotel has also  increased its minimum number of room nights required of us. We need to meet this new minimum, and ask for your assistance in making the conference a financial as well as an educational and social success.
