Dear all:

This is to remind our art information professional colleagues from Latin America and Eastern Europe that the application deadline for the ARLIS/NA-Getty International Program is fast approaching. Please remember to submit your application materials by December 20th.

About these awards:

Thanks to the generosity of The Getty Foundation, the Art Libraries Society of North America received a grant to fund an initiative that promotes the international exchange of ideas and information among art librarians. This grant will support bringing Latin American and Eastern European art information professionals together with ARLIS/NA members to share knowledge and expertise, to discuss the future of art historical literature, to advance shared solutions to the concerns of the digital age, and to imagine together initiatives that further inter‐cultural exchange and collaborative projects.

The ARLIS/NA-Getty International Program will award funding to assist Latin American and Eastern European librarians and art information professionals to attend the ARLIS/NA+VRA 3rd Joint Conference in Seattle, Washington (State), March 8-12, 2016.

The generous grant from The Getty Foundation will allow ARLIS/NA to award up to twenty grants of $2,600 (USD) each to conference participants for support of travel, accommodations and per diems. In addition, participants will receive complimentary conference registration and invitations to special events.
