On behalf of the ARLIS/NA Board I am pleased to share an update on the ARLIS/NA grants program. This year we are proud to announce ARLIS/NA's success in securing three extraordinary grants. These grants are the result of the efforts of many ARLIS/NA leaders working together over a span of years; in particular I'd like to thank: Gregg Most, Debbie Kempe, Milan Hughston, Sandy Brooke and Kathleen Salomon for their work with the ARLIS/NA Board in developing and securing these grants. Each of the following programs allow ARLIS/NA to expand opportunities for a broader community to engage with ARLIS/NA, and to facilitate the exchange of ideas about art libraries with international colleagues and new audiences.
This year's ARLIS/NA grant awards program includes (in alphabetical order):

ARLIS/NA-Getty International Program
A one-year $75,000 grant supported by The Getty Foundation that provides funding to assist librarians and art information professionals from Eastern Europe and South America to attend and participate in our conference in Seattle, March 2016.

Samuel H. Kress Foundation Award for International Travel
The third year of the Kress Foundation's six-year $60,000 grant that provides funding to assist European librarians and art information professionals to attend our annual conference, and for ARLIS/NA members to attend the IFLA Art Libraries Satellite Meeting and other European art library conferences.

Sotheby's Institute of Art Research Award
The first year of a three-year $40,500 grant supported by the Sotheby's Institute of Art that provides annual support to ARLIS/NA, and research awards to an ARLIS/NA nominating librarian and a student for a paper or digital art history project on collecting and the art market.

A call for applications for each of these opportunities will be issued by their respective award committee chairs; please consult the ARLIS/NA website for application guidelines.

Please join me in thanking each of these generous grant sponsors. Their support is a recognition of all the amazing work ARLIS/NA accomplishes on behalf of art libraries and the scholarship they support!
Congratulations!
