Assistant Librarian - Cataloger: The John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art, Sarasota, FL The John & Mable Ringling Museum of Art, in its affiliation with Florida State University, is one of the largest museum/university centers in the nation. The Ringling Art Library is one of the largest art research libraries in the southeastern United States. It houses thousands of volumes from the 16th-21st centuries, spanning topics like fine and decorative art, art history, architecture, fashion, and theater. The Assistant Librarian works under the general supervision of the Head of Library Services and manages, updates, and maintains the library's electronic catalog, using the procedures and practices of current metadata standards, including MARC Records, AACR2, RDA, and Library of Congress Classification. This position catalogs all library materials, including copy and original cataloging. Corrects existing bibliographic records as needed.
