The Library at the Fashion Institute of Technology (SUNY) seeks a creative, service-oriented librarian, with leadership experience, to assist managing the Research and Instructional Services (RIS) unit. Under the direction of the Head of RIS, the successful candidate will help plan, manage and evaluate library instruction and reference services. S/he will fully participate in the Library's information literacy program, which includes teaching workshops and providing reference services. Will assume an essential role in the Library's liaison program and outreach to the FIT student body and faculty.
Required qualifications:
ALA accredited MLS. Five years of experience in reference and instruction and two years supervisory and/or project management experience. Proven leadership ability and effective communication skills. Detail oriented, collaborative, and organized. Solid knowledge
of current instructional technologies. Familiarity with information literacy concepts, trends & standards.
