New York Chapter members and friends will be marking the arrival of summer on Saturday, June 6, with a fun, art-filled day on the East End of Long Island. The day begins with a docent-let tour at the architecturally acclaimed Parrish Art Museum at 10:30, then continues after lunch with a behind-the-scenes tour at Robert Wilson’s innovative Watermill Center with Librarian Deb Verhoff and Archivist Clifford Allen, and concludes at the Dan Flavin Art Institute in the charming village of Bridgehampton at 5:30. Attendees are responsible for lunch and for arranging their own transportation to and from Long Island--e.g. the Parrish Art Museum (Southampton) and Bridgehampton. The day’s itinerary has been planned to coordinate with the Saturday schedules of the Long Island Railroad and the Hampton Jitney. The New York Chapter will provide transportation during the day. Registration for the Hampton Day Trip is $50 with all proceeds benefiting the programs, events and awards of ARLIS/NA New York. We hope you will join us for this unique day on Long Island.
