Associate Head of Fine Arts - Penn Libraries, Philadelphia, PA



Reporting to the Head of the Fisher Fine Arts Library, the Associate Head oversees teaching and research services in the Fisher Fine Arts Library, which includes developing and implementing a suite of library programs and services, course integrated instruction, project-based research support, subject specific online tools, and onsite orientations. In close association with the Head, the Associate Head manages the library's outreach and departmental liaison efforts. This position will also be critical to collection development and assessment. The Associate Head will help develop strategies to address and deliver services and digital initiatives relating to geospatial information and spatial data as well as aligning services with evolving academic technologies within the humanities. The Associate Head Librarian will be expected to participate in Library-wide task forces and committees as well as appropriate professional associations. A key component to this position is maintaining subject and technical expertise in a rapidly evolving field through ongoing education, professional development, and other scholarly activity. This position will supervise some support staff and will be a vital participant in long-range planning for the Fisher Fine Arts Library.
