Freshkills Park - not yet open to the public - is in a continual phase change from landfill to park, a conceptual and physical reclamation. This site tour and workshop re imagines the
invasive Phragmites (the common reed) as a generative material. Phragmites was harvested on site and made into paper for the covers of the passport-sized field notebooks that participants will bind on site.
