ARLIS/NA-Midstates Chapter SEI 2015 Award
The ARLIS/NA-Midstates Chapter is pleased to announce a $300 scholarship for attendance at SEI 2015. The scholarship is available to any Midstates Chapter member or graduate student studying library science or a related field (broadly defined) in the Midstates Chapter region (Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Iowa, and Wisconsin). If the recipient of the award is a graduate student and not yet a member of the Midstates Chapter, the award will include a free student membership to ARLIS/NA and the Midstates Chapter for 2015.
SEI seeks to provide information professionals with a substantive educational and professional development opportunity focused on digital images, the information and experience needed to stay current in a rapidly changing field, and the opportunity to create and be part of a network of supportive colleagues. The intensive three and a half-day workshop features a curriculum that specifically addresses the requirements of today's visual resources and image management professionals with courses on intellectual property, metadata, and the digital life cycle. SEI 2015 will be held June 9-12, 2015 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
Applications for the SEI 2015 Attendance Award are due by
5pm Friday, April 24, 2015. The application should include a resume and a letter demonstrating your interest in attending the workshop and need for financial support. Please send the documents via email to
