Photography and Migration Conference

April 23-25, 2015

Colby College

 

Please join us for the Photography and Migration Conference, which will take
place at Colby on April 23-25. This interdisciplinary event is co-sponsored
by the Center for the Arts and Humanities, Colby Libraries Special
Collections, Colby College Museum of Art, Department of Art, American
Studies Program, African American Studies Program, Latin American Studies
Program, Cultural Events Committee, and the Pugh Community Board. It is free
and open to the public. 

 

On Thursday night Ethiopian photographer Aida Muluneh will deliver the
opening lecture. Friday and Saturday will include presentations by
international speakers and Colby faculty and students as well as exhibitions
of photographs and a screening/discussion of Thomas Allen Harris's
award-winning film, Through a Lens Darkly. You can read more about the
