Hi Joan,

I purchased the survey my library (and museum). There are a variety of breakdowns of the salaries, and I can probably provide more information if people are interested. Here are the three salaries at a glance tables:

As a former American Alliance for Museums (formerly the American Association of Museums) member, I’m still getting their weekly newsletter. I noticed this week that their (biennial I think) 2014 salary survey is now available. The blurb about it says it includes 51 museum positions. I called them this morning and was told that museum librarians are included in the survey. Although the person I talked to did not spend a lot of time looking while I was on the phone, she said that “Head Librarian” and “Library Assistant” are included. The price is $100 for non-members; $60 for members. I will not be buying it as I am no longer an AAM member and I am retired, but I thought some museum librarians would be interested. Perhaps someone who has purchased this latest survey could pass on to us a more detailed report?
