The deadline for ARLIS/NA members to apply for a travel award to attend the IFLA conference in Capetown (August 15-21) or for other European art library conferences has been extended. Please note that the IFLA/European deadline is FEBRUARY 22, 2015   at 5pm EST.  Please see the ARLIS/NA website for more information and the application forms.

Thanks to the generosity of the Samuel H. Kress Foundation, the Art Libraries Society of North America is in the second of a six year grant to fund an initiative for international travel to promote the exchange of ideas and information among art librarians. This grant will support bringing select arts information professionals together at annual conferences that will enhance connections that can lead to national and international projects and initiatives. The award will provide funding for ARLIS/NA members to attend the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) or other European art library conferences. 

The generous grant from the Kress Foundation will allow ARLIS/NA to make multiple grants with the minimum award at $1000 (USD). I encourage members of the Society to apply for travel funds to attend IFLA or other European art library conferences.
