The Education Subcommittee, with the Diversity Committee and the Mentoring
Subcommitee, are pleased to present the second of two webinars with
leadership and strategy consultant DeEtta Jones.
This presentation strategizes ways to increase cross-cultural competence in
the work place, specifically focusing on racial issues and intolerance.
Participants will learn how to resolve conflicts in ways that optimize
cultural differences for better, longer lasting, more creative solutions,
and will gain strategies for achieving diversity and inclusion goals.
Jones is the Principal of DeEtta Jones and Associates (DJA Consulting).
Before launching her private practice in 2005, DeEtta spent ten years at
the Association of Research Libraries as the director of diversity
initiatives and then as director of organizational learning. Previous to
that, she was director of human rights advocacy and education for the City
of Fort Collins, Colorado, coordinator for multicultural training at
Colorado State University, and has served as adjunct faculty for two
Carnegie I research universities. For more on DeEtta, visit her website. [
