The best list I have found of open access or creative commons images is maintained by OpenGLAM.org, and includes galleries, libraries, archives, and museums.

Dear Collective Wisdom,

I have not been able to find an exhaustive list of museums/libraries/cultural institutions that offer their images free for fair use and/or scholarly publications. Would someone please point me in the direction of such a list? I know that items appear on this listserv occasionally.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers ~
Ethan
