The Head Librarian of the Architecture and Planning Library is responsible for operations and management of the Architecture and Planning Library, to include the planning, organization, implementation, and assessment of library activities including faculty relations, user services, personnel, budget, facilities, events, resource development, and policy-making.  The position reports to the Associate Director for User Services.


The Architecture & Planning Library is located in historic Battle Hall. Services and collections support the research and teaching of the School of Architecture, including Architecture, Architectural History, Community & Regional Planning, Historic Preservation, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, Sustainable Design, Urban Design, and related disciplines.


The Architecture & Planning Library includes Special Collections of rare and unique publications, and is home to the Alexander Architectural Archive. The successful candidate will work collaboratively to build partnerships with the School of Architecture and across campus as well as taking a leadership role in related professional organizations.
