Ringling College is seeking a Director of Library Services who is an innovative leader dedicated to supporting and engaging the
creative and intellectual vitality of a visual arts college, someone who demonstrates analytical and creative thinking, yet is flexible and possesses a sense of humor.
Reporting to the Vice President for Academic Affairs, you will serve as a key strategic partner in the delivery and support of
instruction and the success of the academic program. As the new Director of Library Services, you will have an opportunity to be a part of the development of the new Ringling College library, with groundbreaking scheduled in 2015. The new library is a milestone
project for Ringling and will be the first major project executed as part of our Campus Master Plan. This new 21st century library will allow us to continue providing the resources that help our students study, learn, and create the future.
The campus library is critical to the mission of preparing students to be discerning visual thinkers and ethical artists and practitioners.
The new library will be a dynamic physical and virtual destination. The focus of the new facility employs the learning commons concept of interrelated academic services, a technology-rich hub of resources, and well-designed spaces. The facility is designed
to be adaptable to technology shifts and evolving student needs.
