The Yale Center for British Art will be closed to the public from January 1, 2015 through February 2016, to work on the interior conservation of its iconic Louis I. Kahn building, located at 1080 Chapel Street. The project includes the refurbishment of its public galleries and lecture hall, as well as significant upgrades to its infrastructure. Except during the summer months, access to the Reference Library and to the prints, drawings, rare books and manuscripts collections in the Study Room will be made available on a limited basis, contingent upon the construction schedule. Please email the Reference Library<mailto:[log in to unmask]> and the Study Room<mailto:[log in to unmask]> with questions or for appointment requests. Requests to arrange visits to the Study Room, within the hours of Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, may be made with at least two weeks' notice. The museum shop hours will be Monday through Saturday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
