On behalf of the ARLIS/NA Executive Board and the Fort Worth conference
planning team, I am delighted to invite you to join us at the ARLIS/NA
43rd Annual Conference <http://www.arlisna.org/fortworth2015/> in Fort
Worth, Texas exploring our theme /New Frontiers on the Old Frontier/.

 From March 19 – 23, 2015 the ARLIS/NA Texas-Mexico Chapter
<http://www.arlis-txmx.org/>will host this premiere event for art and
visual information professionals with an exciting program that takes us
from cowboys to culture, from the Old West to the digital horizon. An
enriching program of papers, workshops, and sessions will explore
current and emergent interests across professional practice in art and
architectural libraries. Our program co-chairs have masterfully
scheduled a program that leaves ample time to mingle and consult with
colleagues in the exhibit hall, visit poster sessions, silent auction
and the emerging technologies forum at the first ARLISpalooza – you
won’t want to miss a moment!

Tours and special events will introduce us to Fort Worth, a town
brimming with charm, local interest, global cuisines, and an abundance
of outstanding museums and cultural centers including three of the
nation’s most significant art museums: the Kimbell Art Museum, the Amon
Carter Museum of American Art, and The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.

In addition to the cultural life of the city, you will not want to miss
the many social highlights that make ARLIS/NA conferences so memorable.
Thursday evening’s Society Circle reception at The Modern
<http://themodern.org/> starts the conference off in Tado Ando’s
breath-taking pavilions housing the permanent collection which will be
open to attendees for this very special event -- I hope everyone will
consider joining our Society Circle
<http://www.arlisna.org/about/the-society-circle> to support ARLIS/NA
and to experience together this spectacular space and collection.
Friday’s Welcome Party will be a festive gathering at Philip Johnson’s
amazing Water Gardens
<http://www.dfwi.org/what-we-offer/attractions/parks/126-Fort-Worth-Water-Gardens>.
Sunday night we will gather for our convocation and closing reception at
the Kimbell’s new Renzo Piano pavilion
<https://www.kimbellart.org/architecture/piano-pavilion> with
evening-long access to the galleries and magnificent grounds. These are
just a few highlights amidst a wealth of stellar offerings.
