The ARLIS/NA award-winning publication, California Society of Printmakers: One Hundred Years, 1913-2013 (winner of the Worldwide Books 2014 Publication Award) promptly sold out as it was printed in a very limited edition.

The good news is that we are going to convert the book into an ebook, all 317 pages and 387 reproductions.

Because it is an image-heavy book, converting it to a fixed format ebook seems reasonable. However, because it is an important scholarly resource, ease of reading also seems important, so converting it to a flowable format, once in which one can change the font sizes, seems useful as well.

When art libraries buy ebooks, do they favor flowable or fixed format books?

You may email me privately, and I will try to summarize for the listserv.

Your responses by Friday Nov. 7 would be appreciated.

Thank you all,
