Hello collective wisdom,

I’m looking to see if there has been anything written more recently on how library flooring is seen from a preservation standpoint than Trinkley, Michael. Preservation Concerns in Construction and Remodeling of Libraries: Planning for Preservation. Columbia, SC: South Carolina State Library, 1992 (from the very helpful bibliography on space planning on the NEDCC site). If you’ve done a space redesign (or new library construction) was there anything helpful that designated which type of flooring would be the best for your collections and users?

Thanks!
