Dear Conrad,
A good place to start--though not comprehensive--might be the "Cataloging software for small libraries" list on the Cataloging Section page of the ARLIS/NA website: http://www.arlisna.org/organization/sections/96-cataloging-section. It's about halfway down the page. The information there is two years old but it will get you on your way.

Best,
Dan

Subject: [ARLIS-L] art library catalogue software

Greetings,
I am currently completely renovating an ancient art gallery's 3,500 volume art library, from soup to nuts (cataloging, shelving, creating CMS, etc). I am seeking advice on cataloging software. The library is in-house only for a small staff of 5, so i do not need anything that necessarily monitors check-outs or ins. Thank you in advance for any help.

Best,
Conrad Lochner
