Dear colleagues,
On Saturday, May 3rd, the 2014 winners of the ARLIS/NA Research Awards were announced during the Convocation ceremony at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. These awards recognize and reward the contributions that ARLIS/NA members make to the field of art information research. Every year, they are made possible by the continuing support and generosity of their sponsors, Worldwide Books and the H. W. Wilson Foundation.
WORLDWIDE BOOKS AWARD FOR PUBLICATIONS
The Worldwide Books Award for Publications and the Worldwide Books Award for Electronic Resources recognize outstanding publications in print and online by
individual ARLIS/NA members in the fields of librarianship or visual resources
curatorship, and the arts.
A separate award for an electronic resources publication was not awarded this
year.
H. W. WILSON FOUNDATION RESEARCH AWARDS
While the Worldwide Books Awards reward completed, published
projects, the H. W. Wilson Foundation Research Award provides financial support
for members’ proposed, future research projects in the fields of librarianship,
visual resources curatorship, and the arts. This year, there are two winners of the award:
