Dear colleagues,

The new Auction Catalogs Special Interest Group will be meeting for the first time on Friday, May 2, from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. in Penn Quarter B (Grand Hyatt). This SIG will serve as a forum for all things auction catalog-related -- acquiring, cataloging, archiving and providing access to print, digitized, and born-digital auction catalogs and the related materials that document auction sales. The SIG meeting will take the place of the SCIPIO Users Group meeting, although SCIPIO topics are still very much welcome here.

In addition to announcements and updates on ongoing digitization and archiving projects, we will discuss potential new projects, such as updating the SCIPIO cataloging and formats guide for RDA. If you have anything you would like to add to the agenda -- new initiatives at your institution, ideas for cooperative projects or future collaborations, etc. -- please contact Prima Casetta or myself.

We look forward to seeing you in D.C. and charting the future direction of this SIG!

Best regards,

Erika Hauser & Prima Casetta
