Hello ARLIS wisdom.

Our Interlibrary Loan Department is finding it difficult to locate this article. Verification details are also hazy. International Bibliography of Art cites this article, but the citation lacks an issue number. None of the libraries contacted through interlibrary loan have found the article cited below from the journal, Medal. If anyone has this journal in their library, would you mind checking to see if this article exists. Medal is published twice yearly. So there would be two issues that would have been published in 2012. Please respond privately to me. Thank you.

Attwood, Philip. “What is a medal?” Medal (2012): 6-9.

Abstract: There are two known types of medals--those given to award acts of valor and those awarded in competition. However, these are offshoots of an older tradition. Commemorative medals often celebrated individuals and events. This dates from early 15th-century Italy. A brief history is provided, with a look at the development of medal tradition and forms.
