Dear ARLIS/NA 2014 Conference Attendees:

To those who were not able to sign up for the Glenstone tour, I wanted to assure you that you can still schedule a free tour of our current exhibition on our website. While the library and archives will not be open for tours, our current art exhibition is a must-see for contemporary art enthusiasts.

At this writing, there are still available slots for visitors on Friday, May 2, and on Saturday, May 3. Due to parking availability and the fragility of the current exhibition, we do not accept tour groups larger than 15 people. Tours start on the hour from 10 am to 4 pm.

Glenstone is not accessible by public transportation, so you will need to find someone with a car or hire a taxi to take you to and from the conference hotel to Glenstone. If you are coming from the conference hotel, please allow 45 minutes to an hour for transportation as the Washington area traffic can be heavy. Ask taxi drivers to pick you up an hour and a half after your scheduled tour start time. Our tour slots fill up months in advance, so make plans now with colleagues to split the cab fare and sign up for your tour soon to book a spot!

Feel free to contact me with any questions.

-Tessa
