I keep hearing of our members and exhibitors getting calls from people posing as the conference hotel offering to get them discounted rates. Please know that this is a scam.
The scammers ask for personal information and your credit card number. I have no idea why we are being targeting us – and they seem to be focusing more on exhibitors and sponsors. Please be cautious.
While the offer of a discounted hotel room might seem tempting, our negotiated rate is more than competitive in the busy spring season in Washington, where our steady conference
business, high school tours, and steady stream of other tourists have rates at most central hotels in the $300 range. If you have trouble making your reservation, please contact ARLIS/NA headquarters for assistance.
