On behalf of the ARLIS/NA Midstates Chapter, the Travel Awards committee is pleased to announce that Amanda Meeks has been selected
as the recipient of the William C. Bunce ARLIS/NA-Midstates Travel Award, supporting professional development through attendance at the ARLIS/NA annual conference. Amanda will receive $600 for travel to the ARLIS/NA Annual Conference in Washington, DC, May
1-5, 2014.

An active contributor and first-time attendee, Amanda will share her experience as the outreach coordinator at Chicago's Read/Write Library and discuss her bicycle outreach program during
the panel discussion "Activist Access and Outreach in Book Arts." Afterward she will lead a workshop on the care and preservation of artists' books. As the ARLIS/NA Book Arts SIG co-chair she will also be leading that group's meeting and coordinating
other aspects of programming and events related to book arts in the DC area.
