Greetings all and Happy New Year to everyone!

I have a dilemma that I hope you can help me with.

I just received a book (Ametsuchi by Rinko Kawauchi) in which most of the
tops of the pages are uncut as if the book guillotine didn't slice them
properly. I want to separate the pages because there are images on
"inside" of the fold (i.e., between the two attached pages) that the reader
cannot otherwise see. However, I'm not sure it's supposed to be like that
or if it's a binding error.

Any comments? Suggestions? Advice?

Thanks in advance.

Art is a kind of innate drive that seizes a human being and makes him its
instrument. To perform this difficult office it is sometimes necessary for
him to sacrifice happiness and everything that makes life worth living for
the ordinary human being. —Carl G. Jung
