Hi, everyone,
All of your advice in the summer really helped me make decisions on candidates to weed from our collection. So, I was hoping you could also help me with my next question:
Art faculty here are concerned about accrediting agencies looking for a specific number of volumes in a collection that supports art and graphic design curriculum. I know the organization that accredits nursing programs is fairly prescriptive about library collections. Are you aware of any art or graphic design accrediting bodies that comment on library collections?
Thanks (again) in advance,
Courtney

Hi,
I am charged with weeding a collection of art books from both the Reference and Circulating collections at a university library. Our institution has approximately 9500 students and offers BAs in Art and Graphic Design.
Does anyone have any weeding criteria developed for a situation like this? If so, please reply off list.
Thanks in advance,
Courtney
