ideas. Born in northern Germany, Cords was raised in Hamburg and the United
States. She earned her MFA in Painting from the University of Pennsylvania
and received a BA in Fine Arts and Literature from Principia College in
Illinois. Her work has been shown in galleries, not-for-profits, and
museums in the U.S. and abroad. Recent solo exhibitions include Diamond
Days, Villa Rosenthal, Jena, Germany, Turnarounds, AxD Gallery,

for the Arts Fellowship (2003). Cords lives in New York City and is
currently an adjunct professor in the Fine Arts Department at St. John’s
University.

Native American poet *Jeremy Sigler *has published numerous books of
poetry: *To and To*, *Mallet Eyes*, *Crackpot Poet*, *Led Almost by my
Tie *(with
Jessica Stockholder), *Math*, and forthcoming from Dashwood Books in 2013,
*Pleasure*, done in collaboration with photographer Ari Marcopoulos. Other
long poems presently unpublished are *Marooned Reader*, *Here*, and *The
Sport of Poetry*. *Sigler* <http://www.lannan.org/bios/jeremy-sigler> was
awarded a Lannan Foundation fellowship in Marfa Texas in 2006, and has read
his work on occasions at the R. M. Schindler House on Kings Road in
Hollywood, California. Sigler has taught sculpture in numerous graduate art
programs, worked as the New York Senior Editor of the Swiss art journal
*Parkett*, and was formerly the Manager of Publications at Dia Art
Foundation in New York. In 2006, Sigler collaborated with students outside
of Washington D.C. to produce his own unauthorized theatrical adaptation of
the 1979 film, *Being There* (directed by Hal Ashby), which was itself
adapted from the 1970 novella by Jerzy Kosinski. Sigler has lived in
Brooklyn, New York since 1991.

Initiated and organized by *Arezoo Moseni* in 2004, *Artist Dialogues
Series* provide an open forum for understanding and appreciation of
contemporary art. Artists are paired with critics, curators, gallerists,
writers or other artists to converse about art and the potential of
exploring new ideas.
