A limited edition print is being offered for your help.

Please take a look at the web page about this project, and if you can
help in any way to make this press, which is capable of gorgeous
impressions, available to artists for the production of new works, it
will be much appreciated.

The Center for Book Arts, located in midtown New York City, is planning
to offer classes and rental time on its large Washington hand press (R.
Hoe & Co. #5703). The platen is 22" x 30" and the tympan will handle a
sheet of paper about four inches larger in each dimension.

Right now there is no frisket, and the tympan frame is a wooden one made
as a temporary replacement many years ago.

If you would like to help out with a donation, the Center is offering a
limited edition print (broadside) that will be made on the press when
the repairs are complete. The multicolor print will incorporate
selections from the Center's recently acquired collection of wood type,
and will be designed and produced as a collaboration between myself and
the Center's Master Printer, Barbara Henry.
