URIs - LOD news from the Getty Vocabulary Program The project to publish all four of the Getty vocabularies as Linked Open Data has begun in earnest. It is anticipated that the data will be published under the ODC_BY 1.0 license. Updates: The target date for the release of AAT as LOD is mid-January 2014. We will then move on to TGN, ULAN, and finally CONA in approximately six month intervals. The sequence was chosen to take advantage of the way the vocabularies are connected: AAT is linked to itself; TGN pulls from AAT; ULAN from AAT and TGN; and CONA from all three. We also intend to publish LOD versions of our lookup lists (e.g., languages, roles, nationalities, place types, and bibliographic sources). Our base URI will be http://vocab.getty.edu/. A draft version of the full set of URIs for all four vocabularies is available at www.getty.edu/research/tools/vocabularies/getty_vocabularies_draft_URIs.pdf. A draft version of our ontology and mapping is currently being reviewed by the core project team and will be posted here soon. New: In the meantime, as requested by several in our community, we have implemented a redirect to the HTML version of the full record for the base concept.
