Hi Carol and colleagues,

There does appear to be a strong interest in meeting to discuss Music Interests, so I will go through the SIG process.  Several of you have also mentioned areas of performing arts for which you are now responsible.  I was not sure if we already had a SIG or another venue for the Performing Arts.  Do we?  If not, I am happy to call this the Music and Performing Arts Interest Group on the application.

What's the decision?

Thanks to all of you who have written me.  We should have a good group and I will look to reserving a room at the DC conference.

To all those who responded to my inquiry about overseeing Music Libraries, thank you for the very varied perspectives you offered. We appear to be many more than I thought.  Is this a trend? 

 

I also received many emails interested in getting together at the ARLIS/NA Annual conference in DC in Spring 2014 to discuss issues for Music.  How does one form an interest group or should we keep this small, intimate, and bar-friendly?
